Country Music Corner
I saw Junior Brown in the Contenental Club in his home town of Austin, Texas in 1994. Paul Gunning said he was the best Country singer he ever heard! Dwight Yoakam and The Babalon Cowboys played in the Town&Country Club in Kentish Town, London in 1986....great gig. I saw Jason & The Scorchers in Dublin April '99. They really are true rock'n'rollers. I even got to sing with them.....honest!! We were billed to support The Mavericks when they came to Galway but we had a prior engagement in the King's Head. We still made it out for the end of the Mavericks show. Dale Watson and his Lone Star Band played in Roisín Dubh's, Galway. They play country music like it's supposed to be. September'98, BR5-49 played a great show in Dublin. Afterwards, Gary Bennett donated his plectrum to my collection - Thanks Gary!
